CATL subsidiary, partners to invest USD6 billion in Indonesia EV battery project
The three companies together have planned a joint investment of USD5.968 billion in Indonesia
Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lygend Co., Ltd. (CBL), a subsidiary of Guangdong Brunp Recycling Technology Co., Ltd (Brunp), has signed a tri-party framework agreement with PT Aneka Tambang (ANTAM) and PT Industri Baterai Indonesia (IBI) to work together on the Indonesia EV Battery Integration Project, CBL said on 14 April 2022. The projects is aimed at the mining and processing activities of nickel, which is a critical raw material used in the production of lithium-ion batteries. The project will also entail battery recycling operations, it said.
