The project is aimed at eliminating future raw material supply chain threats to the tire manufacturing industry in the US

US tire manufacturer Goodyear announced via press release on 7 April that it was partnering with Ohio-based high-performance materials company Farmed Materials to work on a multiyear, multimillion-dollar program supported by the US Department of Defense (DoD), the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) and BioMADE, aimed at developing a developing a domestic source of natural rubber based on dandelion in the US.
