The White House has been pushing Congress to approve US subsidies for semiconductor chips manufacturing

The United States lawmakers attended a classified briefing on 6 April at the White House on the dire risks to the US economy from semiconductor supply chain issues as the administration pushes Congress for USD52 billion in funding to subsidize production, according to a report published by Reuters on 6 April 2022.
