Bridgestone secures US Department of Energy’s grant to advance guayule natural rubber research

The company aims to commercialize guayule rubber in tires by the end of the decade

Bridgestone Americas has received a research grant from the US Department of Energy (DOE) Joint Genome Institute to advance its optimization of guayule, an alternative and more sustainable source of natural rubber for tire production, according to an official press release on 30 March 2022.
