Hyundai Motor, Aramco to jointly develop e-fuel to reduce CO2 emissions
Unlike conventional fuel manufacturing, the e-fuels are synthesized from green hydrogen, resulting in 80% lower lifecycle emissions
Hyundai Motor Group, Saudi Arabian Oil Company Aramco and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) have agreed to jointly conduct research and development of an advanced fuel for an ultra-lean-burn, spark-ignition engine that aims to lower the overall carbon dioxide emissions of a vehicle, the South Korean carmaker announced on 30 March 2022.
