While GM is investing USD4 billion at its Orion assembly facility, GM and LG Energy Solution are investing USD2.6 billion to build their third battery cell plant

General Motors plans to invest more than USD7 billion in four manufacturing sites located in Michigan, significantly increasing battery cell and electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing capacity, the company said on 25 January 2022.
