Indian transport ministry mandates M1 category vehicles to be fitted with two side/side torso air bags and two side curtain/tube air bags
New mandates make passenger car significantly safer with induction of side and curtain airbags
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), India made side and curtain airbags standard for M1 (passenger cars with a maximum of eight seats in addition to the driver' seat) category vehicles, according to a statement released by the transport department.
