VW’s latest diesel engines now approved to be run on environmentally friendly fuels

The company, as part of its 2030 goal, aims to reduce emissions per vehicle in Europe by 40%

German automaker Volkswagen announced via press release on 14 December that the company's latest generation 4-cylinder diesel engines, delivered since the end of June this year (CW 25/21), have now been approved for use with fuels made from residual and recycled materials in accordance with European standard EN 15940.
