Italy plans to engage Intel for a multibillion-euro chip plant
The plants would be part of the US group's drive to build cutting-edge manufacturing capacity in Europe
According to a press release published on ET Auto on 24 October, Rome is preparing an offer to persuade Intel to invest billions of euros in an advanced chipmaking plant in Italy, as Germany emerges as the frontrunner to land an even larger megafactory planned by the US company, according to three sources.
