Sigma Lithium, LG Energy sign six-year agreement for supply of battery grade lithium

The offtake agreement includes increasing supply of lithium from 60,000 tons in 2023 to 100,000 tons in 2027

Canadian mining company Sigma Lithium Corporation has signed a binding term sheet for an offtake agreement on a ‘take or pay’ basis for the sale of 6% battery-grade high purity and environmentally sustainable lithium concentrate to one of the leading electric vehicle (EV) battery makers, LG Energy Solution (LGES), the company said in a press release on 5 October.
