The Wallace Battery Cell Innovation Center is expected to build its first prototype cells in the fourth quarter of 2022

General Motors plans to set up an all-new battery cell facility, named Wallace Battery Cell Innovation Center, aimed at significantly expanding the company's battery technology operations and accelerate development and commercialization of longer range, more affordable EV batteries, the company said in a press release on 5 October.
