Honda to start testing program in September for autonomous vehicle mobility service in Japan

Public road tests will be conducted in 2022 in Utsunomiya City and Haga Town, Tochigi Prefecture

According to an official press release dated 8 September, Honda Motor announced that it will begin a testing program for autonomous vehicles in September 2021, paving the way for the company to launch an autonomous vehicle mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) business in Japan in collaboration with Cruise and General Motors.
