Johnson Matthey partners OnTo Technology, UKBIC on Li-ion battery recycling

UK government will partly fund the feasibility stage of the project between the three partners

London-based specialty chemicals company Johnson Matthey has signed up an agreement with OnTo Technology, a developer of advanced battery recycling solutions, to scale up latter’s patented process for the direct recycling of lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery scrap, the company said in a press release on 26 August.
