onsemi to acquire GT Advanced Technologies for USD415 million
onsemi intends to invest in GTAT's R&D efforts to advance 150mm and 200mm SiC crystal growth technology
According to an official press release dated 26 August, onsemi and GT Advanced Technologies, a producer of silicon carbide (SiC), announced the signing of a definitive agreement in which onsemi will acquire GTAT for USD415 million in cash.
