Germany commits over USD584 million for EV charging infrastructure
First tranche of funding worth USD222 million will see construction of about 18,000 public charging points
German government’s Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) has committed a total of EUR500 million (USD584 million) to be invested by the end of 2025 for further development of public charging infrastructure in Europe’s largest car market, BMVI said in an official statement on 17 August.
