BMW warns chip supply shortage 'critical', may lead to further production loss

According to a Reuters press release dated 2 July, BMW warned that a chip shortage that has plagued the automotive industry may result in additional lost production, that it showed no signs of abating, and supply would remain tight in the second half of the year.
