India needs 400,000 charging stations for 2 million EVs by 2026
SMEV estimates India has 1,800 charging stations for almost 16,200 electric cars
India would need about 40,000 charging stations to meet the electric vehicle charging (EV) demand from two million EVs that could potential ply on the roads by 2026, news agency IANS reported, citing a Grant Thornton Bharat – FICCI joint study that was released on June 12.
