Bridgestone to expand Firestone plant in US to produce air suspensions for the EV industry
Company to invest USD51 million in plant; completion of plant expected by end of 2022
Bridgestone Americas has announced that it is expanding its Williamsburg, Kentucky, air springs manufacturing plant according to a company press release on 27 May. The company will invest USD51 million at its Firestone Industrial Products' (FSIP) plant to meet in the automotive market, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. The company expects to break ground in the second quarter of this year and complete the construction by the end of 2022.
