Volvo to implement circular business principles, aims to reduce 2.5 million tons of CO2 from 2025
The company aims to realize savings of USD119 million annually from 2025 onward
Volvo Cars will be creating closed material loops for high-emission materials such as steel and aluminum, and remanufacture, repair, reuse, and refurbish parts to reach an annual savings of SEK1 billion (USD119 million) and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of 2.5 million tons from 2025.
