Volkswagen to design and develop chips for self-driving cars
VW plans to design its computer chips and then outsource production to an existing supplier, in the same way that Tesla outsources production of its chips to Samsung.
As Reuters (via Autoblog) reports dated 30 April ,the company chief Herbert Diess told Handelsblatt in an interview that VW will design its own high-performance chips for autonomous vehicles.
