Company intends to reach net carbon neutrality by 2050

Volkswagen intends to be net carbon neutral by 2050 with a targeted interim milestone of a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions per vehicle in Europe by 2030, according to a company press release. The company made these announcements at its first Way to Zero Convention. The company has also signed contracts with energy company RWE for renewable energy sourcing.
