FCA to invest up to USD1.2 billion in Canada’s Windsor plant to build EVs
US automaker would invest in vehicle platform at the Windsor plant to support assembly of PHEVs and BEVs, with at least one new model in 2025
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has committed to invest up to CAD1.5 billion (USD1.2 billion) at its Windsor assembly plant in Ontario, Canada, to build electric vehicles (EVs), after reaching a three-year tentative agreement with worker union Unifor on Thursday (15 October), the union said in a press release yesterday.
