Fifth company after Waymo, Nuro, Auto X, and Zoox to secured permit for driverless vehicle testing in California

Cruise has received a permit from the California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to test its autonomous vehicle (AV) fleet in San Francisco without safety drivers, Dan Ammann, CEO of the company announced in a blog on Medium on 15 May.
