Automotive semiconductor demand running ahead of 2020 expectations

Semiconductor suppliers expect higher quarter-on-quarter revenues for fourth quarter 2020, and preliminary indicators point to a positive sentiment in 2021. However, increases in orders within the suppliers’ frozen window and low inventory levels could lead to complications.

IHS Markit conducted a survey in July that asked 30 automotive semiconductor suppliers about the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) viral pandemic.
