Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory develops new class of solid electrolytes for lithium-metal batteries
Made from both polymers and ceramics, the solid electrolyte suppresses formation of dendrites in the early nucleation stage
Researchers at the Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab), in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, have developed a new class of soft, solid-state electrolyte for lithium-metal batteries, the laboratory announced in a press release on 20 July.
