COVID-19 pandemic: Hyundai Wia suspends operations at engine plant in South Korea for four days
Company decided temporary suspension after Donghee Auto stopped operations at its Seosan plant for a week
Hyundai Wia, a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, has temporarily suspended operations at its manufacturing plant in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, for four days from 6–9 April due to COVID-19 pandemic, Business Korea reported on 7 April. The Pyeongtaek plant produces engines for the Kia Morning and Ray models. The plant decided to halt production after Donghee Auto, which produces the two Kia compact models, closed its plant in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea.
