Decision was driven by shutdown of automobile manufacturing plants due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Fasteners and precision springs supplier Piolax Corp. has temporarily laid off 359 workers at its plant located in Canton, Georgia, US, following the shutdown of various plants by company’s automotive customers, according to a report by Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News on 23 March.
