COVID-19 pandemic: Volkswagen to suspend production at Chattanooga plant in US for one week
The German automaker hopes to resume production at the plant on 29 March
Volkswagen has announced plans to suspend production at its Chattanooga plant in Tennessee, the United States for a week, starting 21 March to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, the automaker said in a press release on 19 March. The company hopes to resume production at the plant on 29 March. Volkswagen will offer full pay to its employee during the production shutdown.
