COVID-19 outbreak: Dongfeng Honda resumes operations at plants in Chinese city Wuhan

The extended production suspension in China since the Lunar New Year holidays in the last week of January has severely affected vehicle production in the country.

Dongfeng Honda Automobile, a joint venture (JV) between Dongfeng Motors and Honda, as well as its suppliers have received approval on Monday (9 March) from authorities in Wuhan, in Hubei province, to resume manufacturing operations at its plants in Wuhan, after extended production suspensions since late January due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, Yicai Global reported on 10 March, citing The Economic Observer. Apart from Dongfeng Honda, the passenger vehicle of Dongfeng also secured permit to resume operations from 12 March.
