INVESTMENT: Geely forays into satellite production to facilitate highly autonomous and connected driving
The Chinese automotive group will produce a variety of low-orbit satellite models
Geely Holdings Group has started construction of an intelligent satellite production and testing center in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, the Chinese automotive group said in a press release last week. The new facility, to be operated under Geely Technology Group, will include a modular satellite manufacturing center, a testing center, a research and development (R&D) center, and a cloud computing center, and will be able to develop and produce a variety of low-orbit satellite models.
