Koito invests USD50 million in US-based lidar startup Cepton
Japanese supplier plans to integrate its automotive lighting technology with Cepton’s lidar technology
Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Koito) has invested USD50 million to acquire shares of Cepton Technologies, Inc. (Cepton), US-based a startup company which designs and manufactures lidar for advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and autonomous driving, the two companies said in separate press releases on 5 February.
