CES 2020: Cerence unveils new gesture-based HMI solution

Cerence Drive now also includes gesture-based interaction with a windshield user interface

At the CES 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the United States, this week, Cerence is displaying new innovations to its Cerence Drive platform, including enhanced, button-free interaction that leverages voice recognition, gaze detection, touch and gesture to deliver natural, human like in-car experience, the company said in a press release on 7 January. The company is showcasing how voice-recognition and head-tracking can be used together to enable certain functions like opening windows and doors.
