DMV can start approving new applications in 30 days
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has allowed testing and commercial use of light commercial vehicles on its public roads, KRCR News reported last week. The change in regulation will allow companies to test light autonomous vehicle weighting less than 10,001 pounds, including Class 1 and 2 passenger trucks/vehicles and small delivery vans. The DMV can start approving new applications in 30 days, the report said.
