Daimler and Bosch have started testing their self-driving taxies in the US state of California, Automotive News Europe reported on 2 December, citing sources familiar with the matter. The two German companies have deployed a fleet of 30 automated Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans equipped with a range of sensors including long-distance laser scaning lidars. These vehicles will offer ride-hailing in the San Carlos/Stevens Creek Corridor between downtown and west San Jose in California.
