Hyundai partners with Pony.ai and Via to offer autonomous ride-sharing service in US city Irvine
Korean automaker collaborated with Pony.ai to build self-driving system and with Via to develop the BotRide on-demand ride-sharing technology and app for the pilot service
Hyundai Motor has teamed up with Pony.ai and Via to offer BotRide, an autonomous ride-sharing service on public roads in Irvine, California, United States, beginning 4 November, the South Korean automaker said in a press release on 25 October. The free autonomous ride sharing service will be provided by a fleet of self-driving Hyundai Kona electric SUVs. The service will cover several residential, commercial and institutional point of interest.
