China has begun testing automated driving vehicles on an ‘intelligent connected’ expressway in the eastern province of Shandong, Xinhua News Agency reported on 16 August, citing Qilu Transportation Development Group. The 26-kilometer-long test section of the expressway has three tunnels, three tollgates, a bridge and several longitudinal slopes to provide real world testing scenarios.
