Economic revenue up 21% y/y

Plastic Omnium’s net income declined 33% y/y to EUR155 million (USD174 million) in the first half ended 30 June 2019, the company said in a press release on 19 July. The company’s first half net income included restructuring costs of EUR25 million. Plastic Omnium recorded lower net income despite 21% y/y growth in economic revenue to EUR4.6 billion. Revenue on like-to-like basis was 0.2% y/y. The first half revenue included favorable currency impact of EUR70 million and net scope effects of EUR700 million, mainly due to full consolidation of HBPO from 1 July 2018.
