German automaker commenced the free-floating electric car-sharing service with 1,500 units of e-Golfs electric hatchbacks

Volkswagen (VW) has launched an app-based electric car-sharing service ‘WeShare’ in Berlin, Germany, the company said on 27 June. The German automaker has commenced the free-floating electric car-sharing service with 1,500 units of e-Golfs electric hatchbacks. The fleet will be expanded early next year with 500 units of e-Up electric compact car. VW also plans to include its ID.3 electric cars in WeShare when it is introduced in mid-2020.
