Toshiba selects Cadence’s image recognition processor for next-gen ADAS chip
Cadence Vision P6 DSP delivers high compute throughput with lower consumption and meets functional safety requirements for automotive applications
Toshiba has selected Cadence Design Systems’s Tensilica Vision P6 digital signal processor (DSP) for its next-generation advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) system-on-chip (SOC), Cadence said in a press release last week. Cadence’s Vision P6 DSP image recognition processor delivers high compute throughput with lower consumption and small core (cross-sectional) area. The processor is certified to meet functional safety requirements making it suitable for use in automotive applications.
