GM plans to introduce Michelin’s airless tire in its passenger vehicles as early as 2024

Michelin and General Motors (GM) has introduced a new generation of airless wheel/tire technology for passenger vehicles, the two companies said in a joint press release on 4 June. According to Michelin, its new Unique Puncture-proof Tire System (Uptis) eliminates flats and blowouts and offers significant potential for reducing the use of raw materials and waste.
