Sumitomo Electric acquires two European companies of powdered metal parts maker Sinterwerke Group
Acquisitions will help the company expand its presence in Europe
Sumitomo Electric Industries has acquired Germany-based powdered metal components maker Sinterwerke Herne (SWH) and Switzerland-based Sinterwerke Grenchen (SWG), according to a company press release on 22 May. The Japanese supplier acquired 100% of shares of SWH and SWG from Sinterwerke Holding on 9 May.
