European Parliament approves EU rules requiring mandatory fitment of safety technologies in new vehicles
The regulation will now be submitted to the EU Council of Ministers for approval
The European Parliament has voted in favor of changes in the General Safety Regulation on road safety, the Parliament said in a press release on 16 April. The proposed changes were approved by 578 votes to 30 received against the proposal, while 28 members were absent from voting.
