Ambarella, Momenta partner to develop HD mapping platform for autonomous vehicles
New platform leverages Ambarella’s CV22AQ CVflow computer vision SoC and Momenta’s deep learning algorithms to provide HD map solutions
Ambarella has developed a high-definition (HD) mapping platform for autonomous vehicles in collaboration with Momenta, a Chinese start-up specializing in self-driving technology, the US-based company said in a press release on 15 April. The new platform leverages Ambarella’s CV22AQ CVflow computer vision system-on-chip (SoC) and Momenta’s deep learning algorithms to provide HD map solutions, including mapping, localization for autonomous vehicles and real-time map updates through crowdsourcing.
