Hella, partners develop ‘Open Fusion Platform’ to simplify development of autonomous driving functions
The next focus for the project will be on how to process the sensor data, using machine learning to improve functions and further accelerate the development work
HELLA, in collaboration with other research partners, has developed a fusion platform with open interfaces that enables automakers and suppliers to integrate highly and fully automated driver assistance features for autonomous driving, the German supplier said in a press release on 21 March. The Open Fusion Platform (OPF) project was successfully completed after just three years with the integration of the first fully autonomous driving function in three demonstration vehicles.
