CES 2019: NVIDIA launches ‘DRIVE AutoPilot’ Level 2+ automated driving system
Automakers can use DRIVE AutoPilot as reference platform to bring more advanced automated driving features into their production vehicles
At the CES 2019 in Las Vegas (United States) last week, NVIDIA unveiled ‘DRIVE AutoPilot’, an automated driving system that enables Level 2+ autonomous driving, the company said in a press release. The system utilizes NVIDIA Xavier system-on-chip (SOC) processors and NVIDIA DRIVE Software to process many deep neural networks (DNNs) for perception as well as complete surround camera sensor data from inside the cabin and outside the vehicle. The combination, NVIDIA claims, enables full self-driving capabilities, including highway merge, lane change, lane splits and personal mapping.
