Centralized computing platform: Next step towards full autonomy

With the emergence of concepts such as telematics, connected cars, and autonomous vehicles, modern day cars have become extremely complex machines. Advance electronics power everything within a vehicle, ranging from dashboard instrument clusters to powertrain, and connectivity to infotainment and comfort features. With the increasing number of complex vehicle functionalities, the number of ECUs supporting these features has also increased exponentially. Modern day cars come equipped with around 100 micro-controllers, which occupy lot of space and consume a significant amount of power.
