AI start-up Scale raises USD18 million in Series B funding round

Scale has labelled more than 200,000 million miles of self-driving-vehicle data since its establishment two years ago

US-based start-up Scale has raised USD18 million in Series B funding led by Index Ventures, Accel and Y Combinator, Alexander Wang, co-founder and CEO of Scale announced through a blog posted on the company’s website last week. The latest funding was also joined by individual investors Dropbox CEO Drew Houston and entrepreneur Justin Kan. Following the latest funding round, Mike Volpi of Index Ventures will join Scale’s board of directors. Including the latest funding, Scale has raised a total of USD22.7 million so far.
