Pioneer reports net loss of USD48.8 million for April-December 2017
Company adjusts full-year FY 2017/18 forecasts
Pioneer has reported net loss of JPY5.5 billion (USD48.8 million as on 31 December 2017) for the nine month period ended 31 December 2017, compared with net loss of JPY3.02 billion in the same period a year earlier, the Japanese supplier said in a press release on 9 February. The company also witnessed 37.7% year-over-year (y/y) decline in operating income to JPY2.1 billion. Pioneer recorded higher net loss and lower operating income as its net sales dropped 6.2% y/y to JPY270.9 billion.
