Volvo Trucks to start sales of electric trucks in Europe in 2019
Company may leverage expertise of Volvo Bus in pushing electrification in trucks
Volvo Trucks will start selling electric trucks in Europe in 2019, the Sweden-based truck manufacturer said in a press release on 23 January. The company will start putting first electric trucks into operations with some select customers this year. Volvo also foresees commercialization of electric trucks in North America, expected to be led by progress in battery technology.
