The i3 electric car failed to clear NHTSA’s frontal crash protection for the 5th percentile female drivers when they do not wear their seatbelts while driving

BMW has issued a stop-sale order and is recalling its all i3 electric cars sold in the United States so far due to a compliance issue, New York Daily News reported on 21 November. The German automaker is taking this step after its i3 electric car failed to clear a crash test of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
